它很聪明，有一次，我喂它东西吃的时候，发现它不是把嘴直接放在食物上面吃，而是用前爪把食物紧紧抱住再吃。吃完后，它还把嘴放在地上擦一擦。还有，它每次走到台阶边缘时，从不会掉下去，因为它总是先看一看有没有危险，然后再做出相应的对策。

兔子的性格非常温顺。在自然界，它对其它动物没有什么伤害，也不侵犯人类，但是许多动物都欺负它，狼、虎、狮子等都想吃它;鹰也想叼它;甚至人也开枪打它……但是兔子始终没有被消灭。为什么呢?因为它能顽强地保护自己：它跑得很快，见到狼、虎、狮子等，就飞快地钻进洞里;如果鹰来叼它，它就会仰面朝天，用四条腿去迸鹰;自然界的野兔子有一身保护色，躲在草丛里，连人类也不容易发现它。正是有这种顽强精神，才使兔子这个大家族经久不衰。
